Факультативное занятие по теме «Идиомы».

Конспект занятия.

Тема: «Идиомы».

Цели:

ознакомление учащихся с идиомами английского языка;
формирование речевой компетенции.
развитие навыков языковой догадки;

Оборудование: звукозапись скороговорки, картинки с идиомами, презентация «Идиомы»

Ход занятия.

Организационный момент.

Goodmorning, dear friends! I am glad to see you today. Are you fine?

Фонетическая зарядка.

Listen to the tongue-twister.

If a dog chews shoes,

What shoes would he choose to chew?

Too few for sure.

You’re a choosy shoe-chewer.

Now listen to the tongue-twister again and read it slowly line by line. (с доски)
Now say the tongue-twister as quickly as you can.

Знакомство с идиомами.

Look at the pictures and try to guess the meaning of these word combinations:

Eager beaver

A big gun

Walk on air

( На доске листы с выражениями и картинками их иллюстрирующими)

How can you name these expressions? You are right! These are idioms. Why do people use idioms?

Read the sentences with idioms and translate them. (слайд №2)

Развитие языковой догадки.

Guess the meanings of these idioms. Pictures can help you. (слайды №3,4)
Match the idioms with their Russian equivalents. (слайд №5)
Match the idioms with the phrases explaining them. (слайд №6)

Формирование языковой компетенции.

Fit one of the idioms in the sentences. (слайд №7)

Рефлексия.

Our time is over. We must stop now. How do you find idioms? Are they fine?

How can you say about a very rich man? И т.д.

Name the idiom which you remember.

Домашнее задание.

Your home task will be to find any idiom and illustrate it. (слайд №8)
