Главная цель урока: Cовершенствование лексических и грамматических навыков, развитие умений монологической речи на основе предложенных ситуаций, контроль приобретённых умений и навыков.

Развивающий компонент цели урока: развитие языковых, познавательных способностей учащихся, развитие эмоций школьников и готовности к коммуникации, гуманистическое развитие личности ученика. Образовательный компонент цели урока: расширение лингвистического и общего кругозора школьников. Воспитательный компонент цели урока: создание условий для воспитания культуры общения и поддержания интереса к учению, воспитание чувства уважения к традициям и культуре других народов, обучение познавательной деятельности с использованием иностранного языка. Практический компонент цели урока: практическое использование лексических и грамматических навыков по теме “Праздники”.

Задачи урока Обобщение лексического материала по теме “Зимние праздники”. Обобщение грамматического материала по темам “Словообразование”(префикс re-,un-, in-, il-, im-, ir-, dis-, mis-). Развитие умений и навыков учащихся вести беседу, высказывать своё мнение и обобщать изученный материал по теме. Привитие учащимся любви и уважительного отношения к традициям и культуре других народов.

Christmas Day is celebrated on December 25. People of different countries celebrate Christmas in various ways. Christmas is a time for eating. The traditional food is turkey, Christmas cake, Christmas pudding made of fruit. Candles at Christmas also go back to those times. People believed then that their light helped them to forget the darkness of winter. Now Christmas Tree stands in everybody’s living room at Christmas. New Year's Day is the first day of the year, in the Gregorian calendar. All over Britain there are parties, fireworks, singing and dancing, to ring out the old year and ring in the new. As the clock - Big Ben - strikes midnight, people link arms and sing a song. February 14 is St. Valentine’s Day, it is a day for choosing sweethearts and exchanging love-tokens (символы любви).Generations of young people have considered St. Valentine to be the friend and patron of lovers and have sent gifts and hand- made valentines to their sweethearts. They wrote men’s names on scraps of paper, rolled each in a ball of clay, and dropped them into water: the first paper that surfaced supposedly had the name of the woman’s true love. The history of the holidays is the same, but they have different traditions. Britain and Russia have much in common in culture and customs of celebrations of the most favourite holidays. Knowledge of the peculiarities of the cultural life of the people enriches and develops knowledge about the country and helps to understand different people.
