Places of interest: Museum of Local Lore The regional museum was opened at 14th of May 1980. It is located in the building which was built in 1907 by Nicolay Markov - Tshchigrovsky nobleman.

Holy Trinity Church Holy Trinity Church was built in 1801 according to the plan approved by Catherine the II at 10th of May in 1785 year.

Victory Square. In this square there is a monument to fallen soldiers and the eternal flame. There is also a chapel.

The Central square. On the Central square is a monument of Lenin. Also there is the administration of Tshchigry and Tshchigrovsky district court.

The Park. Park of our town is very beautiful, especially in the spring. The Park has plenty of chestnut trees. There are many different attractions for children.

My school. Our school can be considered one of the oldest schools in the town. During of the Great World War in the school’s building was the hospital.

Church tradition. Maslenitsa. This is the holiday of farewell to winter. All people cook pancakes. Pancake symbolizes the Sun. After the carnival starts lent.

Easter. It is one of the main Church holidays. People sanctifies the Easter cakes and eggs.

Christmas. This holiday is very popular among children. The night before Christmas, they go home and sing Christmas songs. For this they treat sweets.

Victory Day.

Famous people of our small town. Lukyanov Ruslan -writer, poet, actor.

Valery Yesipov - Soviet and Russian football player.

Sergey Pavlovich Nepobedimiydesigner in rocket technology, the honorary inhabitant of our town.

Onipko Ruslan-actor of the second roles.

Souvenirs of Kursk region is very diverse: it is air bags, mugs, plates and more others.

We are children, but we have some dreams: a sports complex, an entertainment center, a cinema, the Park, the improvement of the Park.
