Пояснительная записка

В данной игре мы используем аутентичную лексику оригинального британского шоу "Who wants to be a millionaire" ("Hot seat", "fastest finger question" etc.), а также принцип самой игры, знакомые российским зрителям. Только играем мы не на деньги, а на конфеты, которые приносят сами ученики.

Подготовка к уроку, мероприятию.

Все дети приносят по нескольку конфет, мы их складываем в вазочку и ставим на журнальный столик перед доской, где все шоу собственно и происходит.

Оформление у нас более чем скромное:

на доске цветными маркерами оформляю, так сказать, интерфейс (название, значки подсказок, и количество конфет на каждый вопрос, которое зависит от того, сколько конфет принесли дети, на кресло игрока вешаю табличку "The Hot Seat", на сиденье кладу кусок красной материи).

Сами вопросы (вернее варианты ответов) я заранее пишу частично на листах А4, частично пишу во время игры на доске, но не вопрос, а ключевое слово (, напр.: fortnight вместо How many days are there in a fortnight?) , полностью писать вопросы нет необходимости, хватает устного общения.

О подсказках:

"помощь зала" (ask the audience) определяем следующим образом

The quizmaster asks the audience to help the contestant: "Dear guests, who thinks (is convinced) that the answer is "A", please, raise your hand" и т.д. На доске напротив каждого ответа пишем количество проголосовавших.

"Звонок другу" (phone a friend): участник звонит другу, либо просит помощи у одноклассника. Школа у нас небольшая, ученики, которым звонят за помощью, одни и те же. Заранее согласовываем с ними, чтобы не было накладок (контрольная, физкультура и т.д.)

Each of you has a chance to face our "hot seat".

To get up into it you have to answer our "fastest finger question".

I этап. Preliminary round.

Mr. N. is the first to give the correct answer (to answer this question correctly).

You are welcome, Mr. N, please take our Hot Seat.

На данном этапе происходит краткий диалог на изучаемую тему. К примеру, если тематика игры Погода, то диалог может быть: How do you like the weather today, Ann? It is rainy. – I like when it is rainy. – Oh, do you? – Yes, the weather is really marvelous. – Ann, what is your favourite season? - etc. - Многое бывает экспромтом, смотрю по ситуации.

Firstly let me tell you our rules: (Также здесь можно позволить игроку рассказать правила)

You have to answer 10 questions, if you answer them correctly you'll get … sweets.

Количество вопросов зависит от того, какое количество учащихся желательно проконтролировать, сколько времени отводится на урок или мероприятие

The 5^th question is the 'save point'.

You also have 4 Lifelines.

They are:

Fifty-Fifty (50:50), two incorrect answers are eliminated;

Ask the Audience, the studio audience votes on the correct answer

Phone-A-Friend and

Double Dip, the contestant can give two answers for a question.

Дальше проходит основной этап игры. Конечно же ведущему необходимо использовать так называемую catchphrase Is that your final answer?

а также другие 'дежурные' фразы, с которыми учащихся при необходимости можно ознакомить заранее (у меня это входит в домашнее задание)

Во время игры ведущий старается поддерживать сформировавшийся на ТВ стиль ведения игры. Например: при ответе на вопрос

How many players does a football team consist of?

участник отвечает "11"

The host: Your answer is accepted. And now the right answer:

A football (soccer) team consists of 10 (пауза) field players (пауза) and a goalkeeper, totally of 11 players. You gave the correct answer.
