Урок английского языка по теме "День рождения" для 5 класса

Цели урока: - познакомить учащихся с традициями празднования дня рождения в Великобритании;

- закрепить лексику по теме;

-развивать навыки устной речи по теме;

- повторить лексику по теме «Названия месяцев»;

- закрепить построение общего, альтернативного и специального вопросов;

- развивать навыки чтения и аудирования.

Оборудование: записи на доске, магнитофон, кассета, карточки со словами.

Ход урока:

1. Введение в атмосферу иноязычного общения:

а) организация класса;

б) речевая подготовка:

Good morning. Today we speak about birthday and we call our lesson “Happy Birthday”.

First I`ll tell you some information about this holiday. These words will help you to understand me. Let`s read them aloud.

2. Показ функционирования и использования нового материала:

а) знакомство учащихся с новой лексикой (пассивный словарь):

So listen to me very carefully.

invitation- приглашение

to represent- показывать

to come true- сбываться

health- здоровье

traditional- традиционный

clothing- одежда

perfume- духи

hat- шляпа

surprise party- вечеринка с сюрпризом

to organize- организовывать

б) сообщение информации о празднике:

In Great Britain most people celebrate their birthdays on the day of the month they were born. Birthdays are celebrated with family and friends. People send invitations for the party. A birthday cake with candles is served. The number of candles represents the age of the birthday person. The candles are lighted. The person makes three wishes and then blows the candles out in one breath so the wishes will come true. People sing “Happy Birthday” and wish the person health and long life.

It is traditional to bring or send birthday cards and gifts to the birthday person. Many people send flowers. Other presents can be clothing, books, records or perfumes. Parties for children are usually celebrated at home. At children`s parties, children wear birthday hats and get souvenirs from the birthday child. Sometimes birthdays are celebrated at school in the classroom with classmates. Mothers bring cake, candy and drinks for the whole class.

Some people want to celebrate the birthday of a relative or friend with a “surprise party”. They organize the party, but the birthday person does not know about it. When the person comes to the party everyone shouts “SURPRISE!”

In our last lesson we learnt the song which is called “We eat cake on my birthday”. Let`s remember it. I`ll read you this song with some gaps and you must fill in these gaps.(book, p.223)

г) упражнение на повторение лексики по теме «Названия месяцев»:

Now answer my question. When is your birthday? Now let`s play. You are divided into 2 teams. That team which gets more points will get excellent marks. And the first task will be the next: the first team begins to name the months and the second team goes on. And now on the contrary.

д) упражнение на закрепение лексики:

Match the verb and the noun. Подбери пару «существительное – глагол».
