Тема: Жизнь на улице
Оборудование: УМК В. Эванс, Дж. Дули, И. Михеева (Spotlight 11)
Обучающая цель:
Формирование у школьников операционных умений решения проблемных задач
Воспитательная цель:
Формирование толерантности по отношению ко всем слоям населения
Формирование отношений между учащимися, основанных на уважении друг к другу.
Поддержание интереса к английскому языку.
Формирование ответственного отношения к работе на уроке.
Развивающая цель:
Развитие коммуникативных навыков.
Развитие памяти.
Развитие компенсаторных умений.
Развитие инициативы в приобретении знаний.
Образовательные задачи:
Формирование у учащихся преодоления познавательных трудностей
Продолжить формирование умений и навыков обобщать изученный материал
Первичная тренировка учащихся в использовании нового лексического материала.
Формировать навыки взаимо и само контроля
Ход урока
Начало урока. Организационный момент. Введение учащихся в ситуацию общения. Организация беседы направленной на новый материал.
T: I’m glad to see you, dear friends! Take your seats please. How are you today?
T: Thanks a lot. I’m all right and ready to discuss with you a very important issue. Have a look at the quotation (Слайд 1). Who is this quotation by?
T: Yes. That’s right. What does it mean?
T.: Well, not exactly… Other ideas? T: Right. You see…Undoubtedly, most of us would concur with the butterfly from Hans Ch. Andersen story: “Just living isn’t enough!” We need more; we were made for more - much more. And we can have this “sunshine, freedom, and a little flower” as well. Made in God’s image, we have the opportunity and the privilege to be transformed by goodness, truth, and beauty. Very well.
Речевая разминка. Постановка проблемы урока (Слайд 2) As we all know, life is very unpredictable. One minute you are on top of the world and another you are kicked out of your comfortable lifestyle in a split-second. Please, look at the title of the text and tell me what will this unit be devoted to? (“a life on the streets”) T: Right you are.
Работа с текстом (Слайд 3)
Ученики
слушают и следят по тексту. В группах
готовят 3 вопроса о том, что бы они
хотели узнать из текста. Затем они
говорят, нашли ли они нужную
информацию. Введение лексики и первичное ее закрепление (Таблица. Слайд 4) Now, let’s discuss the text using the key words. Look at the words in bold and give us their definitions one by one. So you think it is really easy for them to ask for money? T.: Well, in a way they can. There is a special magazine for these people made by the UK government. T.: Not really. The Big Issue is one of the UK's leading social businesses and exists to offer homeless people, or individuals at risk of homelessness, the opportunity to earn a legitimate income, thereby helping them to reintegrate into mainstream society. T.: Yes. It was founded by John Bird and Gordon Roddickin in 1991.
Дискуссия в группах T.: And now I would like you to divide into 4 groups and discuss what measures need to be taken by the government to improve social life in our country. Составление проекта (слайд 5 -опора) T.: Very well… In order to put all your ideas into action, I suggest that in groups you make your own program to help homeless people. Each representative of the group should be responsible for his own area.

T.: Think about your own work during the discussion and give yourself a score, filling in the self-evaluation card. (Приложение 1)
Подведение итогов урока. Well, today we have worked hard and your ideas were very good. I hope that one day you will be able to fulfil all of them in the future. Домашнее задание. Write down your home task please. You have to be ready to render the text using key words that we have discussed today and fill in the gaps in ex. 4 p.84 (Spotlight 11) Thank you very much for the lesson. Bye, Bye!

St.: They are written by a well-known Danish author Hans Christian Andersen! (“Just living is not enough, one must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower.” ) St.: I think it means that just living a life is not okay we should enjoy each and every part of life like freedom, sunshine and so on. St.:
I guess this is a little ironic.
St: I suppose it is about homeless people who ended up living on the streets.

St.2: Friends’ couches – means friends’ beds. St.2: Of course I would! St.2: Well, if my parents were not against it, why not…
St.3: Then, she can go to a B&B!
St.3: Then I don’t know…street? St.4: The only solution she has got is to go to squat… St.4: It is a house where people live illegaly. St.5: No, it can be anything…a disused warehouse, an abandoned home, grubby office buildings. St.6: It’s very cold, no central heating or running water. There are about 15 people in a filthy room and most of them are drug addicts and alcoholics.
St.7: No, it is not. They don’t like others to take pity on them. Of course they should work, but they cannot…
St.8: Yes, The Big Issue. But don’t people buy it like any other magazine or newspaper? St.8: And was it made in the UK?
Ученики обсуждают проблему в группах. Затем ученик от группы обобщает дискуссию.
Ученики в группах составляют проект, который поможет улучшить жизнь бездомных. Затем представляют мини-проект.
Ученики заполняют таблицу самоконтроля, оценивая свою работу в группах. 19-20 баллов- «5» 18-15 баллов- «4» 14-11 баллов- «3»
