Урок «Faces of London» (Лица Лондона)

Образовательные цели:

• Формирование лексико-грамматических умений и навыков.

• Формирование общеучебных умений и навыков (умение слушать друг друга, кратко излагать свои мысли).

• Расширение кругозора учащихся о странах изучаемого языка.

Воспитательные цели:

• Решение задач нравственного воспитания (толерантность – в монологической, диалогической речи).

• Эстетическое воспитание учащихся.

Развивающие цели:

• Развитие речи.

• Развитие самостоятельности в учебной деятельности.

• Развитие творческих способностей и логического мышления.

Ход урока:

I.Организационный момент:

• Good afternoon, boys and girls! (Good afternoon, ……!)

• I am glad to see you. Sit down, please. What date is it today? (Today is…….)

• Who is absent today? (….)

• I hope you are ready for the lesson. Let's start our work. Today we shall continue our talk about famous people, we'll repeat the vocabulary on the topic «Face if London» and enlarge our know-ledge about famous people. And what famous people do you know? (……)

Let's remember the names of famous people in Britain, their occupations and learn to pronounce them correctly. Look at the blackboard, please. I'll read the words and want you to repeat them after me.

IV. Совершенствование навыков монологической речи. Проверка домашнего задания.

Your dialogues are very interesting. I see that you have worked hard at home.

To continue our discussion of famous people, let's read the story about an outstanding American actor and producer Charlie Chaplin. But first of all, let's look at the blackboard and learn to pronounce the words you'll use in the text.

На доске: To take part in the competition- принимать участие в соревновании.

To win the first prize –получить главный приз.

To be upset- быть расстроенным.

To announce a competition- объявить соревнование.

That's good! Now open your books on page 95 ex.49. You have to read the story about Charlie Chaplin and put the sentences in the correct order in ex.50.

I'll give you 5 minutes to do this task. (дети выполняют упр. 49,50 на стр.95)
