Внеклассное мероприятие «Американское рождество»

Оформление зала: над сценой плакат «Merry Christmas», зажигающаяся звезда, камин, экран, края сцены украшены еловыми ветками.

Звучит американская народная песня «Jingle Bells». Выходит ведущий.

Pupil 1. Good evening, dear friends! We are glad to see you here! Today we are going to tell you about a wonderful winter holiday. It is an American Christmas. But everybody in the world knows the background of this holiday. Let`s look into the Holy Bible.

Раздается звон колоколов. Затем звучит мелодия «Аве Мария». Выходят четыре пастуха.

Shepherd 1: Look at the sky. There are so many stars today.

Shepherd 2: Oh, it`s so cold tonight. Let`s make a fire.

Shepherd 3: I`ll do it. (Зажигает импровизированный костер) Sit down around the fire.

Shepherd 4: My friends, look at that star. The light of it is so unusual.

Shepherd 1: What does it mean? I haven`t seen anything before. And what about you?

Shepherd 2: Neither have we.

Появляется ангел.

Angel: Jesus has been born in a barn in the town of Bethlehem. Many angels have came. They are praising God because Jesus came to save us.

Shepherd 3: Let`s go to the town to find the baby.

Все уходят. Показывается слайд 4 и звучит голос на фоне песни «Аве Мария».

«The shepherds ran into the town to find the baby. They find him is a barn, just as the angel said. Marry was cuddling her baby. Jesus looked like any baby, but the shepherds knew: he was God`s Son. The angel had told them that Jesus in the Saviour.»

Pupil 1: The Americans celebrate Christmas on the 25^th December. As you know, Christmas is a religious holiday. It is the day on which Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. It is a happy holiday. Families come together to share their happiness, attend church and exchange gifts.

Pupil 2: You are quite right. The Christmas story comes from the Bible. It tells us an interesting story of shepherds who were watching their sheep when an angel appeared to them and told that a Savior had been born in Bethlehem. The shepherds went to see Jesus. The baby Jesus was born in a stable.

Pupil 3: His mother was the Virgin Mary and his father was Joseph. The Bible tells us how the Wise Men (the Magi) followed a star until it led then to Jesus.

Pupil 1: The first Noel the angel did say

Was to certain poor shepherds in the fields as they lay.

In fields where they lay keeping their sheep

On a cold winter`s night that was so deep.

They looked up and saw a star.

Shining in the East, beyond them far,

And to the Earth it gave great light,

And so it continued both day and night.

Pupil 2: The Wise Men gave Jesus many gifts. The Christians celebrate Christmas thanks to the birth of Jesus Christ.

Pupil 3: Cities and towns in the United States sparkle with bright lights and decorations. Churches, homes, schools, shops and streets are decorated with Christmas trees, coloured lights, Santa Claus and his reindeer. Store windows display gifts. The traditional coloures this holiday are red and green.

Pupil 1: On Christmas Eve, the President of the United States turns on the lights of the Christmas tree near the White House and sends his greetings to the nation.

Pupil 2: People sing and hear many songs at Christmas. The songs are different: old traditional songs in English, German, Spanish, French and other languages; religious songs and modern American songs. They create the special atmosphere of the holiday.

Pupil 3: Christmas carols are sung on the radio and public places during this season. Some of the most famous carols are: ‘’The First Noel’’, ‘’Joy to the World’’ and ‘’Silent Night’’.

Pupil 1: Families prepare for this holiday week before. Christmas cards are sent to friends and relatives. They make and buy gifts. They wrap gifts bright paper and ribbons.

Pupil 2: Christmas is wrapping each gift with care,

Bowing your head and saying a prayer.

Pupil 3: ‘’How much I Love You’’

I`ve done many things for Christmas.

I`ve tied each present with bow,

But there`s one other thing

I wanted to tell you,

How much I Love You

But I think you know.

Pupil 1: ‘’I Tie My Love with Ribbons’’.

In the glow of Christmas candles,

And the stars that shine above,

I bring you season’s greetings

With my rib boned gift of love.

In the joyous sound of voices

Singing carols in the snow

I take your hand and tell you

Of my love that seems to grow.

With Christmas years ahead

I tie my love with ribbons

In the shade of Christmas red.

Pupil 2: The Americans choose a tree and decorate it with ornaments and lights. Have a look at our Christmas tree! It`s Wonderful, isn`t it? You can see a lot of toys on it. The lights are different: red, blue, yellow, green. On the top of the Christmas tree you can see an angel. I like the tree. And you?

Pupils: “Yes, of course’’, ‘’Surely’’, ‘’We like it’’, ‘’It`s nice (beautiful, wonderful)’’.

Pupil 3: The American children hang up stockings near the fire – place to receive gifts from Santa Claus.

Pupil 1: ‘’Santa Claus is coming’’.

Santa Claus is coming

Christmas is near,

Hang all the stockings,

We can`t wait till he`s here.

Дети вешают чулочки у камина.

Pupil 2: Schools usually have two weeks of vacation, and some families take vacations together. By the way, do you want to meet Santa Claus? Yes? Let`s say then: ‘’Santa Claus, you are welcome.’’ All together.

Входит Санта Клаус и раздает подарки всем присутствующим. Рождественский вечер продолжается. Дети поют рождественскую песню ‘’Jingle Bells’’. И объявляется конкурс на лучший рождественский музыкальный подарок.

Заключительная часть

Pupil 3: So American Christmas means many traditions and habits. We tried to tell you about one of them.

Pupil 2: But we, who are sitting here, are Russian people and we celebrate Christmas on the 7^th January. We hope you`ll meet this holiday with love and joy.
