в 5 классе

«Приглашение другу»

Цели урока:

1. Учебные: Тренировать в аудировании, чтении и устной речи. Научить писать неофициальное письмо на заданную тему.

2. Развивающие: Развивать способность к функционально - адекватному

сочетанию лексических единиц и логическому изложению.

3. Познавательные: Познакомить с новым типом письма.

4. Воспитательные: Воспитывать уважительное отношение к другой культуре.

Ожидаемые результаты урока: расширение объема знаний по теме;

развитие самостоятельного мышления; повышение мотивации к изучению

английского языка.

Формы работы: индивидуальная, фронтальная.

Формируемые УУД: коммуникативные, регулятивные, познавательные.

Оборудование: компьютер, экран, презентация, раздаточный материал.

Ход урока.

1. Организационный момент.

(1. Мотивация к учебной деятельности.)

T: Good morning, boys and girls! I am glad to see you. Today we shall read, speak as usual. We shall also write. What about? You`ll tell me yourselves a bit later.

2. Речевая зарядка.

(2слайд)

T: Answer my questions:

Do you like holidays? I do not mean school holidays.

What English holidays do you know? (Christmas, New Year, Easter, Mothers` day, Halloween, St. Valentine`s day, All fools’ day)

What is your favourite Russian holiday? (New Year)

What holiday do most people like? (Birthday)

Do you have your birthday party every year?

Where do you celebrate your birthday party? (At home or at a café)

T: How do you invite your friends to your party? (I phone them)

And how can you invite your friend who lives in another town? (I can write a letter)

What is the name of such a letter? (A letter of invitation)

Do you know how to write it? (No)

What are we going to write? (A letter of invitation)

Open your copy - books and write down the topic of the lesson. (3 слайд)

So, we’ll learn to write an invitation letter today.

T: Look at the cards. What do you see? (A letter)

Look at the picture and say what holiday it is. (A birthday party) (4 слайд)

T: Before reading, let’s learn some new words. Look at the screen! Say after me. Read the words to each other. (5 слайд)

T: Read the letter and find the phrases which best describe each picture. (6 слайд) (Раздаточный материал)

(Key: Picture 1-My dad is going to decorate the garden with lots of colourful balloons. Picture 2-We are also going to have a jelly - eating competition. Picture 3- We're going to play games and dance outside until 5 o'clock. Picture 4-My Aunt Jane is making me a beautiful big birthday cake with ten candles on it.)

T: Is it easy for you to write the letter of invitation right now? (No)

T: What do you need to know? (What to write in each paragraph)

T: Read the letter again and answer the questions.
1). Who is the letter from? (Eddy)
2). Who is the letter to? (Wendy)
3). What is the letter about? (An invitation to a party)
4). Which paragraphs are about Eddy's plans for the party? (Paragraphs 2, 3)
5). Which tense is used? (To be going to)
6). How does Eddy end the letter? (Love and his name)
7). Which of the following can you use to replace "Love"?
• Yours.... • Best wishes.... • Yours faithfully.... • Lots of love....

Text:

Fancy dress parties became popular in the days of Queen Victoria. They are popular in Great Britain now, too. People go to fancy dress parties wearing masks and costumes. Usually a fancy dress party has a theme. Themes may be different, e.g. Halloween, Easter, Christmas, Cats, Harry Potter, Animals etc.

T: Answer the question. (It is a party where people wear masks and costumes)

T: Listen once again and answer the questions:

1. When did Fancy dress parties become popular in Great Britain? (In the days of Queen Victoria.)

2. What does a fancy dress party have? (A theme)
